THE EFFECTIVENESS OF QUIZIZ LEARNING MEDIA ON VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS’ LEARNING INTEREST

Abstract


This research was motivated by indications that students' interest in learning at SMKN 7 Serang City was low. This research aims to determine the effectiveness and relevance of Quizizz-based interactive learning media on Vocational High School students' learning interests. This research uses the Pre-Experimental Design One Group Pretest-Posttest method. The sampling technique used a total sampling technique with a  sample of 30 TM 2 10th-grade students. The data collection technique used a pretest-posttest Likert scale questionnaire on interest in learning. The instrument used is a 4 Likert scale questionnaire which is valid and reliable. Validity testing uses construct validity and reliability testing uses Cronbach's alpha. Data analysis techniques use descriptive and inferential statistical analysis. Based on the Shapiro-Wilk normality test, the calculated W value was (0.982) > W table (0.927) for the post -test and calculated W (0.956) > W table (0.927) for the pretest. This means that both data are normally distributed. Based on the Bartlett homogeneity test, the calculated value ꭓ² (0.0002) < ꭓ² table (3.841) means that the two data are homogeneous. Based on the hypothesis test, the p-value (0.000) < 0.05 was obtained, meaning that the Quizizz learning media was effective in interest in learning. Apart from that, the results of descriptive statistics also show an increase in the average post-test score. The number of students with high and very high interest in learning has increased after the implementation of the Quizizz learning media. The results of the N Gain trial test were at a value of 0.259, meaning that the increa se in student interest in learning was in the low category. So it can be concluded that the Quizizz learning media is effective and relevant for increasing vocational high school students' interest in learning, but is in the low category.
